Here's a guardsman that was killed in Iraq this week. He looks about my age and his youngest looks alot like mine. It kinda hurts to see this picture because you get a much better sense of him than those stoic military portrait ones that they use.
Here, we're all worried about this country and the damage from the hurricanes, and George W Bush's love for war continues to destroy American families like this one. Fuck You George, Fuck You....

I understand your anger. I've had some friends die in this one too. It sucks. I never have figured out what to feel about it.
Steakbellie gives you permission to be angry. Look at this dead man and his babies. He is dead forever. Honor? What can that possibly mean to a dead man? How does that feed/comfort/raise these children? That patriotic bullshit has to stop because if he was born Candian, these children would still have their father to hold them like he is in this photo...you should be angry, we should all be angry...I'm fucking fuming...

Okay...that pushed it. I went back signed in and here I am. I want this for my blog too. More than the Einstein comment.
I am very apolitical on my blog - just because, but this made me cry. I agree with everything you say, but I can't bring myself to do anything. I can start with just this post/picture...can I have this instead of the Einstein post?
