That's 30 chicken's worth of wings. That's a lot of wings.

Also that looks like a mighty fine scale in the picture. In our house we would have had to either weigh one wing at a time on the tiny little plastic scale we have or gotten on the big scale, read the number, gotten off, somehow held onto all the wings, gotten back on the scale, read the new number and worked some subtraction to get the final weight of all those wings.

Not you though.

I'm more impressed by that than anything.

you're forgetting that each of those little chickens also donates two drumsticks to the cause. so only 15 chickens were harmed in this stunt.

the digital scale is something i aquired while 'hotrodding' my sons pinewood derby cars. Otherwise I'd be doing the bathroom scale dance as well.

what's shocking is that when i look at this photo today, i'm hungry....i had feared i broke my desire for wings....must run pretty deep!

Forgot about the drummies. Still, 15 chickens is a lot of chickens. We raised chickens and butchered them one year. I know. Are drummies easier to eat than wings? I would think they would be.

other questions I have
1) are these wings hot?
2) how much eating has to be done to consider them eaten?
3) what's that little tough piece of meat on every drumstick? and do you have to eat that as well?

I think that's it.

they are bbq with no spice, served room temp or cooler

2) how much eating has to be done to consider them eaten?
they will give us an example right before the contest, however it is abit subjective and depends on who is judging your wings.

3) what's that little tough piece of meat on every drumstick? and do you have to eat that as well?
i try to eat as much of that as possible, if I swallow that knuckle it's ok. I dont know how much they are expecting.

I have a technique where I split the middle of the wing with one finger and eat the meat in one shot. It's probably faster than the drumstick.

I have a question... what exactly makes one want to do this? I've seen the lady who held the record for hot dog eating or something... I believe she's got a tapeworm or something she must appease. She appears to be 85 pounds of wiry little person. And she looks sort of angry. I can only imagine why she chose to do those eating contests.

What inspired you to do this? Did I miss that?

And your scale... are you weighing the bones? What are you weighing there?

she's 99lbs and one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Extrememly sweet and nothing but smiles....however I think you can say she's hungry....

The scale is to weigh the plates before and then after so I have an idea how much chicken meat i consumed. Thats not an important figure in the competition itself, but something I use in training to understand how much mass I'm holding.

why do it? i dunno. i have a fascination with things that are in the extreme, and after attending last years event, i knew this was something i needed to try out for. just to say i did. once i got in, well then i was pretty fucked.
