Your Input Please!

I'm going to try to update my site abit. dK has mentioned a story that I wrote over a year ago as a favorite, that should be linked. Does anyone else have any favorite/memorable posts/haikus of mine that I should include along with it? Fell free to let me know what you liked.

I also intend to update to the new blogger, although it keeps telling me I'm not eligable....crumby cliques...

Wait for Beta.
I just did that whole design update, and then had to figure it all out again in Beta. But the thing about Beta is that you can "tag" posts, making it easier to navigate by tags. And then you can add a tag sidebar. So, you could simply tag things as "BEST" and then edit the tags for only your top ten posts or something. Yes, you can actually batch edit with the tags as well. Very nice touch, huh?

My favourite post is a very recent one: the spy memo. 24K Pure Comedy Gold. I mean, I passed that link around to friends and coworkers, and I rarely do shit like that.

other faves:
the bike trek posts
the watermelon story
tuxedo drivers license

Yeah, I've been thinking about doing the blogger upgrade (for the supposed ability to change the look/feel/colors of the template), but I don't have a Google account.

Posts I like:

- The new Rachel Ray

- The one about the shootings

- The shoofly pie recap (because it has a picture of me but also because it has a picture of you wearing one of the awesomest t-shirts ever)

- Tuxedo driver's license

- War machine haiku (the skull rocks!)

I think it’s so cute how you let your split personality manifest itself so imaginatively... You’ve even written entirely separate blogs for Artie and Birdy, like they’re real people. I mean, we all know you’re all the same person... But it bothers me when you comment on your own blog too many times, even when you disguise yourself as “Artie” or “Birdy.” It’s a sign of instability.

But that’s what makes you special, Cupcake.

Honestly, I like all your posts equally. They’re like little people. I could never choose one over the other... They’re all good, in their own way. But I especially like the ones like where you leaned into a guy’s personal space and said, “I hate you.” Not that I enjoy hate or anything, I just like seeing how you push people’s perceptions of society a little. I truly enjoy reading ‘em.

Wow, I wonder why I was characterized as "anonymous" in my previous comments? I never leave anonymous comments. With due deference to Birdie, I wonder if Blogger/Google/Beta have in fact worked out all the bugs.

Chris,

So you figured it out. I am actually the handsome and intelligent alter-ego of steakbellie...yet written by the same person.

The fact remains, however, that I am not TOO smart, since Artie hasn't posted anything in months.

PS, I am also Iris

whatever became of Iris?

I think she is Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice. You know what they say about Condi, Kat. She puts the leez in sleeze!

I really liked this entry

There is something just very real and very touching about it. I like reading your blog.

Congratulations on 13 years of marriage. I hope to someday find that special someone that I can spend the rest of my life with.

Nothing happened to me btw. Just busy with school.

Holy cow, and Iris sighting! Wow, I miss her blog. I think I would enjoy it even more if I were to find out she was well and leading a mundane but happy life. While her struggles were engaging, they were, nonetheless, disheartening.

I guess, Ol' Artie is a big softie.

So what's happening, Iris?
