That's How We Roll
One of the greatest playoff comebacks in recent history happened last night with the Colts defeating the always deadly Patriots. Thank goodness the Bears were able to overcome the NFL's desire for the Saints to win. It has set up an awesome Superbowl show-down of the Best Offense vs the Best Defense. This should test the theroy about Defenses winning Superbowls.

I agree with you, Steakbellie. This should be fun. Nice to see two African-American coaches, too. The NFL policy of requiring teams to interview minority candidates (even though few are actual candidates)irks me. It's hipocracy at its best. If they really cared, they'd bring some of these teams into a room and grill them. "You mean, with 25 coaching and general management positions available, you could only find one qualified minority candidate?"
That said, things seem to be getting better. I don't think there has been an AAS GM yet, though.
I can't disagree more.
The Bears are boring and the Peyton story is played out.
The Saints/Patriots Super Bowl would have been more fun and a "story."
With that said... I'll still watch and I can't believe it, but I will actually be rooting for the Colts.
Go Bears.
I'd have been happy if the Saints made it, too. I do know that I'm tired of seeing the Patriots play. I think they've been in every Super Bowl since I went through pooberty back in the 80s. (It's fun to watch Belichek do his Jedi thing, though. He pulls his hood up over his head, throws his arm up as the ball sails through the air. You can almost read his lips - "Puuulllll riiiighhhtt." Sure enough, his Jedi skills pull the ball to the right, just enough to go through the uprights...)
Artie - Ozzie Newsome is the GM for the Baltimore Ravens [he is AA - what did the "S" stand for tho?']
There would have been a furniture slaughter in this house if the Pats had made it to the Superbowl last night. I would've restrained it and SKH would've slashed it...hee.
SkippyHusband does not want his beloved Dallas dynasty disturbed [please don't take that out on me - I am a Jets fan]...but I have to agree...I HATE the Pats and they are becoming redundant...I do wish the Saints had made it....a resident of NO said today that it seemed that everyone had forgotten the town in the past year...and perhaps the Superbowl would renew interest in that only 1/3rd of the population is back living there...so great for the Saints making it this far...wish they had gone farther...
I will be watching the commercials and for errant private part[s] sightings...giggle...
Enjoy gang!
I just can't cheer for the Colts. I know it's totally irrational but when the Colts left Baltimore, it was devistating. It's just the memories of those great box seats seats and those blue and white uniforms and the freezing cold and the marching band. I can't shake it. It was hard - really hard - when they left us.
Sniff, sniff.
Sure, we have the Ravens now. But they wear purple for goodness sakes. Purple? Ugh.
Yeah, it's hard to feel sorry for Tom Brady. His season has ended two weeks early and he has to go home to Gisele Bundchen. I hate him.
I bet our millionaires beat your millionaires.
