everything changes with a phone call

steakbellie: "so what's the fastest anybody has ever eaten it?"
lady on phone: "well actually, nobody has ever finished it in the three hour time-limit"

there's a several silent moments as the heavy rusty machinery in steakbellie's head start to creak and turn.

lady on phone: "hello?"

my wife had a similar reaction when I told her my plan last night....

dont you people realize how HUNGRY I am?

:)

I missed my trolley-stop last night because I was working out my training schedule. It's gonna take me 4-6 weeks to get ready for this, and I'll need to lose 10-15lbs in the process.

Think about it...to be the first one to do it...to be the ONLY one who's ever done something....i cant get the thought out of my head...this is like stepping on the moon or eating a really big burger.

it's 7lbs of meat, half a head of lettuce, 2 tomatoes, an onion, lots o pickles, and 18 slices of cheese. The whole thing weighs 12-13lbs.

and if you eat it in 3 hours it's free! so i can set a world record, have a nice lunch and save myself $29.95 in the process....

i'm going to do a trial run at home in a week or so(on a much smaller scale), to work out the mechanics. i'll post how that goes....

Holy COW!!! That burger would feed a small village in Africa for a month. Or at least 10 supermodels.

Are you going to do that oatmeal training like you did last time?

I don't feel very well just thinking about it. I'm with Jenne - step away from the burger!

The only person to finish a slightly smaller burger from a Clearfield, PA restaurant in under three hours is 115 pound college student Kate Stelnick. IFOCE eater Badlands Booker needed 7.5 hours to finish.

I emailed the place that she did it. A second woman has finished it in the same time.

I certainly dont take this lightly. I believe to just have a chance at this thing you need have to train and suffer.
