Some Asshole Stole My Sons Bike

I'm furious
We're both heartbroken
He the Mechanical one. He fixes everybodys bikes and skateboards for all the kids on the block. He often takes 2 old bikes and combines the parts to make a new Frankenstein one that I immediatley throw away on trash day.

We bought him (and I think he contibuted too) an expensive bike. It's a blue Diamondback. I have an appreciation for bicycles, and this wasnt something you could pick up at a toy store.

He took great care of it, kept it clean and locked up. Kept it out of the rain. Didnt let his brothers borrow it.

Ch@rlie was celebrating the end of school at the schoolyard last night with a game of tag. Didnt lock it up, because he was just running around the field with his friends, and some fucker stole it. He was so careful all the time, and I'm angry that he HAS to be that careful. He's broken up and I regret that he has to learn this lesson, he was the only one of my kids that even bothered with bike locks and helmets.

It was taken from a really nice neighborhood, most likely by some of the spoiled rich kids who feel they are entitled to the world that live there. They will abuse the shit out of his most prized possesion and dump it in a creek behind their house.

So fucking mad......

Oh no! That is such a terrible feeling. Watch Craigslist in case the thief is stupid enough to try to sell it there.

I had 3 of my most excellent BMX bikesstolen when I was a kid. Sadly, I still haven't recovered, (I'm sorry Ch@rlie...) to the point of I'm trying to replace that bit of my lost youth on that thing called "eBay". (At 10x their original value.) I hope there's a special place in hell for bicycle thieves...

I know the feeling all too well, bro. A few months ago, Heather and my bikes were stolen too. Some douche bag cut the chain we were using to lock them up behind our house. Fuck him. They were pieces of shit bikes anyhow. Probably sold them for $20 to buy some crack (that's sort of the neighborhood I live in).

I saw it as the perfect excuse to finally get Heather a new bike and upgrade my now missing Mongoose to a Diamondback.

Unfortunately, Ch@rlie doesn't have the luxury of being able to swipe a credit card and *presto* have two new bikes.

I won't leave it in the creek...But I did bend the shit out of that back rim doing some sweet kick outs...

check with the police. I thought someone stole my bike when I was younger, and it was registered, so two days later come to find out that the cops saw it stashed behind a bush at the playground and took it.

The Squirrel had her Ipod stolen in school [3rd one taken that week] she worked hard to purchase it and put music on it...and she is heartbroken....

Then last week the Porcupine was dressed for Hawaiian day at school [grass skirt/leis/etc.] and she removed her .50 cent leis to go to the girls room and someone stole them....

Both in school...I mean, the ipod, yeah? but a 9 y.o.'s leis? What do we say to our kids about the kids they have to go to school with? or the state of today....I swear.

Please tell Ch@rlie we are sorry...I will gladly contribute to a fund if you set something up for him...he doesn't deserve this...

Hugs to you both and Happiest of Father's day to the second coolest Dad I know ['cause, y'know...I have to live with SkippyDad!]
