The only book I need to read and the only science worth studying can be found right here in my King James Bible! I read it 10 times and then I got a personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut. Thanks Book-it!

And as much as I hate to even come close to defending him, I think it's not entirely Bush's fault that kids avoid books like they're made of rusty razor blades and used condoms. When it comes to reading apathy, I place the blame on parents and the good folks behind the Sony Playstation. But if you can find some way to pin a little blame on Dubya, I'm down with adding him to the list.

I'm a little behind in my blog reading... as a teacher I hate to admit it isn't as much fun in the classroom teaching anymore! The creative side of teaching went out the window with these damn state tests... how about we assess those who are creating the assessments and setting the "standards" - when were they last in a classroom?
AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
