Andrew Wyeth

I'm sorry about the death of Andrew Wyeth for alot of reasons. He lived just a few miles from me, and is one of the few painters I've admired. I'm only 20 minutes from his families Museum and I'm embarrassed to say I've never been. Another item for the list.

Although his paintings are emotional, I lost all respect for him during his folderol with Helga and the series of pictures that produced.

I noticed he has moved many people that I read regularly - it surprises me.

Really interesting is the painting that you and everyone posts - the lab in the bed - the same room he painted with his young mistress.

No judgement on your taste sir, you know that from me - just my observation/opinion.

for me it's a connection with the landscape around here. I love his Architectural scenes of the old stone buildings, it looks exactly as it is!!!!

I typically dont go for puppy shots either, but this one has some personal connection to me.

Steakbellie. It's a great museum. GO! All 3 Gen's of Wyeth's work is there. REALLY great stuff illustration wise (books and the like) from Grandpop Wyeth. The Grandson's stuff is interesting too.

I agree with you about the stonework. It's spot on.
